Dominik Köninger’s final première before leaving the ensemble of the Komische Oper Berlin

The Komische Oper Berlin is losing its director of ten years: Barrie Kosky. He ends his tenure with “Barrie Kosky’s All-Singing, All-Dancing Yiddish Revue”, described as “a deliciously comedic, campy crazy, supersexy revue, sung entirely in Yiddish, sure to touch the heart and captivate audiences.”

But Kosky is not the only one to leave; baritone Dominik Köninger also has a small tear in his eye as he leaves his friends and colleagues behind after ten happy years. Kosky’s “Yiddish Revue” will be the last production to see him participating as a member of the ensemble; as of the upcoming season he will be freelancing, for instance as Billy Budd at the Musiktheater im Revier.
