Dominik Köninger — from Monteverdi to Korngold and Schönberg, passing by Offenbach

The end of Dominik Köninger’s time at the Komische Oper Berlin draws near, but there are several musical morsels ahead, as Köninger is cast in two Barrie Kosky-productions that are reprised in April: as Agamemnon in Offenbach’s “La belle Hélène” and as Orfeo in Monteverdi’s eponymous opera.

On Sunday, April 24th, he returns to London’s Wigmore Hall to present a recital of works by Korngold, Schönberg, and Schumann; the programme, “Schöne Fremde” will be accompanied by pianist Daniel Heide.
