The Hofer Symphoniker and Austrian conductor Johannes Wildner complement each other perfectly, and the Hof Symphony keeps inviting Mo. Wildner. This time, Wildner is planning a focus on Danish composers, with works by Niels Wilhelm Gade and Carl Nielsens Sixth Symphony, among others.
In other news, Joseph Marx’ “Herbstsymphonie” was recently released by cpo; performed by the Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester unter Johannes Wildner, it is the first unabridged recording.
