Young German soprano Katharina Ruckgaber already worked with René Jacobs a few years ago, in a production at the Theater an der Wien that was a major success. Now, and on very short notice, she was asked to sing the part of Ännchen in his production of Carl Maria von Weber’s “Der Freischütz” with the Freiburger Barockorchester in Freiburg, Wiesbaden, Cologne and Hamburg.
