Having been successful with parts such as Eboli, Azucena, or the Wood Dove in Schönberg’s “Gurrelieder”, French-Armenian Mezzosoprano Nora Sourouzian now makes another of the classic dramatic mezzo roles her own, Amneris in Giuseppe Verdi’s “Aida”.
Our first opportunity to hear Ms Sourouzian’s interpretation of Amneris is in a production by Den Jyske Opera, staged by Roland Schwab and conducted by Jakob Hultberg.
