Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger on the concert platform and opera stage

Following his varied appearances marking the reopening of Cologne’s opera house, baritone Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger returns to the concert platform in November. He first sings the bass part in Handel’s Messiah, in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s arrangement, with the Neues Bach-Collegium NRW and the Essener Bachchor. A week later, he performs Johannes Brahms’s A German Requiem with the Konzertchor Bergisch Gladbach. Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger then takes to the stage as Schlemihl in Oper Köln’s new production of Jacques Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
