After many years of renovation and temporary premises, Cologne Opera is reopening its home venue on Offenbachplatz with a major celebration spanning several days. As part of the first official concert in the opera house, baritone Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger will sing excerpts from The Barber of Seville together with the carnival band Kasalla. At the gala with Diana Damrau, held a few days later as part of the official celebrations, he will sing the Champagne Aria from Don Giovanni.
