German soprano Katharina Ruckgaber returns to Baroque music after excursions into contemporary repertoire—Berio’s Sequenza in Greece—and after singing Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. With Concentus Musicus Wien under the direction of Stefan Gottfried, she sings the soprano part in George Frideric Handel’s Alexander’s Feast at the opening concert of the International Nikolaus Harnoncourt Days 2026 in St. Georgen im Attergau.
Together with bass-baritone Henk Neven, Katharina Ruckgaber has been invited to perform Hugo Wolf’s Italian Songbook at the Lied Festival in Zeist. They will be accompanied at the piano by Hans Eijsackers.
