Among more than one hundred sixty candidates, the has chosen Russian conductor who will join his new artistic home in the upcoming season, having served as Second Kapellmeister at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern since 2017. In July, he made his Mannheim debut with a Mozart serenade featuring ensemble members and the National Theatre Orchestra. His initial assignments in Mannheim include a new production of Cimarosa’s “The Impresario” as well as revivals of “Don Giovanni,” “Hansel and Gretel,” and “Die Fledermaus.”
