After a highly successful collaboration with the Austrian baritone\u00a0Thomas Essl<\/strong><\/a>, we are pleased to welcome him to the General Management. In the past year, he impressed as Wozzeck and Escamillo in Chemnitz and as Mephistopheles in Latvia, among others. Now, we look forward to accompanying his further journey in the worlds of opera and concert, singing and acting.<\/p>\n

Since this season, Thomas Essl is\u00a0an ensemble member at Theater Chemnitz<\/a>\u00a0and can be seen in a variety of roles. In December 2023, he is scheduled for the revivals of Engelbert Humperdinck\u2019s\u00a0\u201cH\u00e4nsel und Gretel\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and Johann Strauss\u2019s\u00a0\u201cDie Fledermaus\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n
