In a region that, across the centuries, was repeatedly claimed (and fought over) by Denmark and Germany, the annual cooperative concert of the\u00a0Schleswig-Holsteinisches Sinfonieorchester<\/a>\u00a0from Flensburg and the\u00a0S\u00f8nderjylland Symphony Orchestra<\/a>\u00a0from S\u00f8nderborg is an important symbol and more: Once a year, the two orchestras organize a concert for which they rehearse together, to then present it in both their hometowns.<\/p>\n

This year the choice fell on Steen Pade\u2019s Orchestral lieder for baritone and Gustav Mahler\u2019s \u201cLied von der Erde\u201d;\u00a0Johannes Wildner<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will be conducting, with the baritone\u00a0Christoph Filler<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0as the soloist for Pade.
\nThe \u201cLied von der Erde\u201d is sung by\u00a0Nora Sourouzian<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(mezzo-soprano) and\u00a0Algirdas Drevinskas<\/strong>\u00a0(tenor).<\/p>\n
