German baritone\u00a0Dominik K\u00f6ninger<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0who was a long-time member of the ensemble at the Komische Oper Berlin and is now working freelance, has been invited to breathe life into Billy Budd, the title r\u00f4le of the\u00a0eponymous opera<\/a>\u00a0by Benjamin Britten; the invitation was extended by Michael Schulz who stages and directs the entire the production; Rasmus Baumann has undertaken the musical direction.<\/p>\n

A mere three days later, Mr K\u00f6ninger is already expected at the Brucknerhaus in Linz where he participates in\u00a0\u201cGolgotha\u201d<\/a>, an oratorio passion by Frank Martin conducted by Markus Poschner.<\/p>\n
