John Milton was and is without doubt one of the greatest English poets of all time, and his masterpiece is the epic poem \u201cParadise Lost\u201d. In more than ten thousand lines of blank verse it recounts the epic casting out of Lucifer and his followers, and the equally epic knowing acceptance, by Adam, of Eve\u2019s sin, making him both the greater sinner and the hero who will share his companion\u2019s fate come what may.<\/p>\n

This is the fertile basis upon which the members of German prog-rock band Vanden Plas and Johannes Reitmeier have created their rock opera\u00a0\u201cLast Paradise Lost\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in which young Austrian Bass\u00a0Oliver Sailer<\/strong><\/a>\u202f\u2014\u2009currently, also in Innsbruck, on stage as Don Alfonso in Mozart\u2019s \u201cCos\u00ec fan tutte\u201d\u202f\u2014\u2009imbues Abbadon, one of Hell\u2019s creatures, with life.<\/p>\n
