German soprano\u00a0Katharina Ruckgaber<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is slipping into \u00c4nnchen\u2019s shoes in the new production of Carl Maria von Weber\u2019s\u00a0\u201cDer Freisch\u00fctz\u201d<\/a>, a role that just saw her on tour with Ren\u00e9 Jacobs. In Freiburg, conductor Ektoras Tartanis will be on the rostrum, with the German \u201cpostdramatic performance collective\u201d Showcase Beat le Mot undertaking the work\u2019s staging.<\/p>\n

Ms Ruckgaber was also invited back to the\u00a0Oxford-Lieder Festival<\/a>, where she can indulge her love for the lied in two events that recall Schubert\u2019s life and times.<\/p>\n

Also this month, Solo Musica releases her recording \u201cLove and Let Die\u201d as part of the \u201cArtists First\u201d series. Her debut album merges and amalgamates lieder from three centuries into a novel listening experience.<\/p>\n
