We are proud and very, very happy to welcome\u00a0Ian Spinetti<\/strong><\/a>, a young tenor from Brazil, to Esther Schollum Artists\u2019 Management. His debut opera performance, Jaquino in \u201cFidelio\u201d at the Oper Burg Gars in 2019, was widely acclaimed, and his Pedrillo (Mozart, \u201cThe abduction from the seraglio\u201d) in 2020 exceeded all expectations.<\/p>\n

This season, he combines his calling with another passion of his, bringing music to children: At the Theater Kiel, he is cast in Elena Kats-Chernin\u2019s children\u2019s opera\u00a0\u201cJim Knopf und Lukas, der Lokomotivf\u00fchrer\u201d<\/a>; the libretto, by Susanne F. Wolf, is based on Michael Ende\u2019s famous children\u2019s book of the same name, known to young and old as \u201cJim Button and Luke the Engine Driver\u201d. Spinetti intersperses these evenings with his performances as First Sailor in Purcell\u2019s\u00a0\u201cDido and Aeneas\u201d<\/a>\u00a0at the Aalto-Theater in Essen.<\/p>\n
