They share their passion for performing music, they both embody excellence in acting and singing, and currently they both call the same stage their home: soprano\u00a0Ilia Staple<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and tenor\u00a0Maximilian Mayer<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0are both members of the ensemble at the G\u00e4rtnerplatztheater in Munich. The nearby Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra has invited them to sing highlights from Leonard Bernstein\u2019s \u201cWest Side Story\u201d as part of their\u00a0New Year\u2019s concert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In January,\u00a0Maximilian Mayer<\/strong>\u00a0also performs at the G\u00e4rtnerplatztheater, as Tamino in Mozart\u2019s\u00a0\u201cThe Magic Flute\u201d<\/a>, and\u00a0Ilia Staple<\/strong>\u00a0will be on that same stage a few days later for her role debut as Olympia in\u00a0\u201cThe tales of Hoffmann\u201d<\/a>\u00a0by Jacques Offenbach.<\/p>\n
