Over the course of the last few years, the Maribor symphony orchestra<\/a> and Austrian conductor Johannes Wildner<\/a><\/strong> have collaborated ever more closely. As always, the programme\u2019s kick-off is a work by a Slovene composer\u2014this time, “Ilova gora” by Marjan Kozina. His work is followed by Brahms\u2019 2nd concerto for piano and orchestra and Elgar\u2019s \u201eVariations on an Original Theme\u201c op. 36, better known as the \u201eEnigma Variations\u201c.<\/p>\n

The traditional May concert of the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra<\/a> at the Wiener Musikverein<\/a> also fell victim to the Coronavirus pandemic, but Johannes Wildner<\/strong> looks forward to returning to the orchestra\u2019s rostrum on the occasion of Austria\u2019s National Holiday on October 26th.<\/p>\n
