Alexandra Reinprecht, soprano

Born in Vienna, the young Austrian soprano Alexandra Reinprecht had her first voice training with by Bernhard Maxara, Elfriede Mohrenberger and Flaviano Labó.
She then continued her studies and graduated with distinction at the „G. Tartini“ Convervatory in Triest, Italy, studying with soprano Cecilia Fusco. Since 2001 she has been regularly working with Carol Byers.
During her studies in Italy, she was already invited to sind in various productions at the
Teatro Verdi di Trieste.

Her first engagement took her to St. Gallen, from where she moved on to Graz (Austria), Stuttgart (Germany), to the Volksoper in Vienna and then to the Vienna State Opera where she has been singing roles like Adele and Rosalinde ("The Bat"), Sophie ("Werther"), Gilda ("Rigoletto"), Marie ("La fille du Régiment"), Blonde ("Abduction from the Seraglio"), Sandrina ("La finta giardiniera"), Adina ("Elisir d’amore"), Euridice ("Orpheus in der Unterwelt"), Pamina ("Magic Flute"), Baronin ("Wildschütz"), Ilia ("Idomeneo"), Martha ("Martha"), Martha ("Evangelimann"), Zerlina ("Don Giovanni"), Musetta ("La Bohème"), Zdenka ("Arabella"), Antonia ("Les contes d’Hoffmann") or Manon ("Manon").

Successful guest appearances took her to important European opera houses like  the Staatsoper unter den Linden (Berlin), Bavarian State Opera Munich, State Opera Stuttgart, or the Landestheater Salzburg. She also performed in renowned festivals like Bregenz and Salzburg,  St. Moritz or Reinsberg.
Both with the Stuttgart and the Vienna State Opera she toured Japan and China with lots of success.

In the course of her young career she already had the occasion to cooperate with highly acclaimed artists like Zubin Mehta, Giuseppe Taddei, Ivor Bolton, Bertrand de Billy, Marcello Giordani, Michel Crider, Philipe Jordan, Peter Konwitschny, Doris Dörrie, Josef Köpplinger, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Marco Armiliato, Welser-Möst, Neill Shicoff, Angela Gheorghiu, etc.

In 2008, Alexandra Reinprecht impressed the music world twice with replacements at the Vienna State Opera: In her role debut as Manon she replaced Anna Netrebko; only a few months later she sang the role of Marguerite in Massenet's "Faust" replacing Angela Georghiu - both performances became a huge success with the audience and the press! During that same year, she also made her debuts, again at the Vienna State Opera, as Juliette in „Romeo et Juliette“ and as Susanna in „Le Nozze di Figaro“.

In early 2009, she sang the role of Sonja ("Der Zarewitsch") in a concert version under the baton of Ulf Schirmer) at the Prinzregententheater in Munich, as well as Rosalinde ("The Bat") at the Komischen Oper Berlin.

In 2009/10 her roles at the Vienna State Opera are Rosalinde ("The Bat"), Susanna ("Nozze di Figaro") and Adina ("L'Elisir d'Amore"). She also returned  to the Komische Oper Berlin for the revival of "The Bat" and sang the title role of Massenet's "Manon" with great success at the Opera of Rome.
During summer 2010, we will see her at the operetta festival in Moerbisch singing the role of Sonja in "Der Zarewitsch" by Lehàr.
